Best wishes and a speedy recovery from all at BTJFC to U11 player Thomas Astbury who broke his leg during Sundays game against Broughton S. S.

Welcome to Buckley Town Junior Football Club.

Over the past few years we have sought to consolidate our position as one of the premier junior football clubs in the north Wales area a task well and truly achieved.

The coming 3 years will present a different type of challenge, both on the field of play with the development of our club, its facilities and infrastructure.

In the “mini football” arena the Welsh FA have initiated a plan to get more children seeing more of the ball during the weekend arranged fixtures and will begin the process of phasing in 4 a side games, watch out for more info on this subject via Lee Starkey’s (head coach) blog  or from the coach  / parent reps.

In the senior (11 a side) arena we are a club in transition: within the next 3 years we will have all 11 a side ages boasting two teams and all looking for the appropriate facilities (a problem in its self). We must also be acutely aware of the need to develop our young stars whilst being mindful of the demands of  the local academy set up, the more successful the club becomes the more playing  staff are taking up additional academy positions.

We are also committed to improving the links and working relationships with our colleagues within the Senior club, indeed our 11 a side teams have been supplying balls boys to home matches this season and the club can be proud of the way they have conducted themselves (great ambassadors of the club).

2008/ 09 season saw a small ambition of mine realised when over 300 members of our club took to the pitch in exactly the same kit and training gear, Sarah Edwards did a remarkable job here and we aim to build on this as we renew the complete attire of the playing and coaching staff for season 2010 /11.

My sincere thanks go out to all our sponsors without whom we could not have achieved our primary objectives in this area.

Look out for additions to the web sites with blog pages and the first ever broadcast of Buckley Town JFC TV.

So much done and yet so much still to do.

Football curriculum to develop.

Facilities to be increased and improved.

Communication to every parent to be enhanced.

Child welfare remains a top priority.

Links with senior club to grow.

Improved social occasions for all to get to know each other.

Etc etc.

Should you wish to get in touch with any of the club officials please do so via the web link.

In the mean time, enjoy your football and your browse through the superb web site.

I hope you find it both informative and enjoyable.
